Well, I guess the biggest news of the summer is that Jesse and I got ENGAGED!!! It was on August 15 and we were camping in Scofield with family and friends and he took me out on the boat in the middle of the lake and threw rose pettals out in the water and proposed right there! It was very sweet and romantic and I was in complete shock! I am still in a little bit of shock over the whole thing.....it is still crazy to look and my hand and see a beautiful ring on my finger that is MINE!!!! The ring is amazing and exactly what I would have picked out myself and he picked it out all by himself and even got the size right! He is truly amazing and I am the luckiest woman in the whole world to get to marry him! Now all I have to do is plan a wedding........any volunteers to help with that venture??
Other than that everything else we did this summer seems boring in comparison.....but come on, what is more exciting than getting engaged. But lets see.....we did a lot of camping. Flaming Gorge over the 24th of July weekend....Scofield in Aug, and River Rafting in Moab the end of August! All of them were tons of fun, but I am pretty done with all the packing, tent setting up, tent tearing down and unpacking until next summer! Here is just a couple pictures from our camping adventures.............Jesse just hanging out in Flaming Gorge, Jesse catching a fish in Scofield......its a huge one! (dont worry, he did throw it back) and last but not least me river rafting in Moab. It was a blast!!

Besides camping we had a pretty quiet summer. We did a lot of swimming in our pool, lots of BBQ's with family and friends and lots of hanging out! I got laid off from my job the end of May, so I was unemployed most of the summer which was awesome and not so awesome! I loved being home and relaxing, but it wasn't so good for my bank account. I started my new job on August 10 so I am back to being a contributing member of society. While I was unempolyed my sis and I took a trip to New Mexico to see the family and that was super fun! Jesse had to stay home and work.......but me and Mel had a great time!
All the kiddos......we had an extremely hard time getting all of them to smile at once....can you tell?

Me with Lanessa and Zak outside the train station in Durango.
We put pennies on the train tracks and smashed them. The kids loved it.
We also went to Bar-D while we were there which I have always loved doing! I didn't get very many pictures there, but here is one of my cute parents!
Well, I think that is all I have for right now! I didn't catch up on the whole summer, but you get the idea. Hopefully it wont be another 4 months till I update this blog again! I hope everyone else had a wonderful summer!!!
This is the book that I am currently reading. It is part of a trilogy that I am currently obsessed with!
Here is my beautiful Mother and cute niece Lanessa. (Thanks Trish, I didn't have a pic in my computer, so I stole this one from you!)
